Sept 9th, 2006 my life changed forever. My lying, dishonest thinking, and secret life was finally brought out into the open. The life I had been living was finally made know by me. God brought me to Celebrate Recovery that night. God started using my hurts, habits, and hang-ups for good. He made me realize that I am not alone in this world. I am not the only one that struggles with life. At that time in my life I was 26 year old. I was still young enough to change my patterns and my life.
I’m now the Ministry Leader over the Landing, what an amazing opportunity! What the Landing means to me is this: The Landing gives teens an opportunity to get to know God and His amazing Grace at an earlier age. Now teens don’t have to wait until college, their first job, or living on their own to realize that they are not alone, and they can handle things that the world throws at them. It means that no matter how big or small the sin - God can forgive it! He can use that sin for His glory.

I am so glad to be a part of a program at MRCC that is changing lives. The Landing is making teens better people, students, and Christians from an early age. I know that my lying didn’t start when I moved out of my parents house. It started with my parents and then just got bigger and bigger until God humbled me enough to be honest with others. The Landing provides that place every Friday night – it’s a safe environment!
Please come and check out what God can do in your life. What secrets are you holding back? What do you need to be honest about this Friday night? Dinner at 6 and the Landing meets in the Summit from 7-9. Honesty is the lesson. Let’s get honest with ourselves and let God do the rest.
Grateful Believer,
Travis
